Stefan Menden is a Berlin-based experienced manager, entrepreneur and business angel. He is originally from Cologne, where he has founded several technology companies since 1999, including career network SQUEAKER (Exit 2023 to F.A.Z.), career platform PrepLounge, travel-tech JustBook (Exit 2013 to Secret Escapes) and tech conference Pirate Summit. Following the exit of JustBook to Secret Escapes, he has driven the internationalisation of the business into DACH, BeNeLux and Scandinavia as Managing Director.

He adapted his start-up experience to turning around companies in special situations. He acquired graduate recruiting platform Staufenbiel Institut and language school group Eurocentres (Exit to Bayswater Education). He has supported the rebirth of Ameropa, Consultingheads and TAM-Akademie, among others.

He is a founder of the HR-Tech Angel Network HR Angels Club.

 

He has worked as a venture capitalist in London, as a strategy consultant with Oliver Wyman in Munich and as a Interim Managing Director at XING. He holds a Master in Business Management and international management from University of Cologne.

Stefan lives in Berlin with his wife and two kids and enjoys cooking for family and friends whenever he can.
